Retention Basins: Members met with the City and ponds are functioning as they should be. City cleaned out lines further down which will increase the flow in storms.
Residents are encouraged to have their sumps upgraded to a system that pushes excess flow out to the yard when backed up beyond what the primary sump can push to the storm lines.
Walkthrough: Pulte has addressed the flagpoles, temporary mailboxes, pillar capstone and storm silt fabric and will complete their other commitments by summer.
NEW PROJECTS
Pond Conservation: The City has discussed with us that we may be taking over control of maintenance of these ponds. The Board is awaiting a letter from the City or county stating our exact responsibilities before any action is taken (in the past these were to not be touched). Once we get this in writing we will take the necessary actions to address the issues these ponds come with.
Pond Excavation: The Board is taking bids for excavation of ponds to ensure the initial size of the ponds are maintained as well as deepening the banks to help fight against the erosion, pond scum and geese issues. The Board is also finalizing plans to install fountains in both the front and Emory ponds to cut down on pond scum and mosquito issues. Finally I think many residents should be pleased to see the improved condition of the ponds with our new contractor AquaDoc taking an active role in maintaining the "health" of our ponds. Also any residents that live near the pond are asked to not deposit yard clippings into the pond areas.
Projects April 2008
Retention Basins: The Board has discussed this issue at meetings and is currently
in the process of scheduling a meeting with the City of Avon in order to discuss a
plan of action. As information is available we will pass it along to all residents.
Walk-Through: The Board, management company, and a member of the advisory committee performed a walk-through of the Association’s common grounds.
The following concerns were forwarded to Pulte Homes:
Removal of Temporary Mailboxes, Electric, Flagpoles, and Storm Silt Fabric.
Fire Hydrant’s grade (near 83 Bench) needs to be addressed.
Jaycox Entrance: Southside Pillar Cap needs repaired.
